2018 China Angel Investment Wave White Forum

On January 22-23, 2018, the “Facing the Future, Staying True to Our Original Aspiration – 2018 China Angel Venture Tide Bai Forum and the 5th Annual Summit of the China Youth Angel Association” was held in Shunyi, Beijing. Nearly a thousand participants, including government leaders, scholars, angel investors, entrepreneurs, and representatives of startups, gathered to engage in in-depth analysis, dialogue, and professional guidance on the hot topics of China’s economy in the new era.

The summit was organized by the People’s Government of Shunyi District and the China Youth Angel Association, with execution by the District Science and Technology Commission, the District Economic and Information Commission, the District Financial Office, and the District Investment Promotion Bureau, and special support from the China Angel Association and co-organized by the company “The Wind is Rising.”

Ouyang Mo, an expert in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, gave a keynote speech titled “Investment Knows No Bounds, No Borders.” A lively and humorous “super conversation” between Xu Xiaoping, Chairman of the China Angel Association, and the surprise guest Han Feng, brought the audience to an enthusiastic high. In the roundtable discussions, renowned angel investors, industry experts, and entrepreneurs deliberated on new momentum, new materials, new energy, and new species, offering strategies and insights for innovation, entrepreneurship, and business development. Four key high-tech projects from Shunyi District, including the “Fu Electric New Energy Intelligent Charging Pile Project,” were presented in a private roadshow, with professional commentary by notable investors, offering a diagnostic for the industrial development of Shunyi District.

At the summit, Gao Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Shunyi District Committee and District Mayor, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He highlighted the importance of building a long-term and effective communication mechanism and a financing platform to drive the development of the angel investment industry and its financial industrial chain in Shunyi. He emphasized the deep integration of the real economy with technological innovation, enabling companies to enjoy more high-quality resources for a mutually beneficial and win-win outcome.

On the evening of the 22nd, the annual Angel Charity Auction was held as scheduled, with the head of the Shunyi District Charity Association attending and accepting donations on behalf of the district.
